For 1" and 1 1/4" Febco 765 Pressure Vaccum Breakers

Instructions For Febco 765 Repair 

Normally Needed After Freezing Conditions.

When Brass is Not Damaged!

 
Turn off the water supply Warning! (Water Pressure can cause Harm!)
Close water supply ball valve.
Turn the sprinkler controller on manually. Turn on each zone manually.
Then turn the controller off.
Now make sure both ball valves on the 765 are turned off.
Open all test cocks on side of the 765 PVB
Take the top (Canopy) off, unscrew and take all plastic and rubber parts out.
 
To reassemble the new parts. Place O-Ring (included in kit) around Bonnet
Apply lubricant to gasket
Fit (slide it onto) Poppet on brass guide stem of Bonnet
Thread Bonnet into PVB unit (hand tight only)
Replace Canopy and tighten nut on top of canopy using a wrench
Close all test cocks.
Turn the water supply on slowly!
Open water supply side ball valve first then right after open second ball valve.

When the water stops flowing the system is full of water.
